CC - Count Cavour's Perfume
An olfactory project inspired by the figure of Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, born from the encounter between Ingegneria del Profumo and the Fondazione Camillo Cavour
The encounter between history and perfumery
For us at Ingegneria del Profumo, every fragrance is born from a story. A story made of values, research, culture, art, and passion. These are the ingredients we seek every time we start a new project, because a perfume, even before its olfactory notes, must have something to tell.
The encounter with the Fondazione Cavour and the heritage preserved at the Polo Cavouriano in Santena gave us the opportunity to approach Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour from a different perspective. Not just the statesman and one of the protagonists of Italy's birth, but the man, his daily life, his tastes, and his habits.

From the past to the present
This gave rise to the idea of bringing to light a more intimate part of his history, starting from the fragrances that Cavour used to wear and the original bottle kept among his personal effects, today visible at the Polo Cavouriano in Santena.
We have studied and reconstructed the bottle, reinterpreting its shapes and details to bring to life a contemporary object capable of maintaining a direct link with the original.

The rebirth of fragrance
Together with Italian nose Cristian Cavagna, we worked on the fragrance by starting from the olfactory traces found in the archives, reinterpreting them with a contemporary twist.
Thus was born CC, an Extrait de Parfum that combines memory and contemporary Italian perfumery, translating Cavour's character, elegance, and personality into olfactory notes.
